Day 3 Delhi Slums | Documenting India with an iPhone and the ProCamera photo app

Day 3
Day three was spent visiting slum areas in urban Delhi. It was a very difficult place to visit, there was rubbish everywhere and the smell was awful. But we were warmly welcomed by the people who lived in the slums. People who spend most days surviving day to day by begging and rag-picking.
If you’re interested, you can read in-depth posts about the visit from fellow bloggers Eden Riley and Kelly from Be a Fun Mum.
Here are a few images taken in the slums. I don’t think they need captions.

Day 2
Hi everyone, I’m writing this post from Bilaspur, a small town in central India. I’m here travelling with three other bloggers, documenting World Vision Australia’s development work in the country.
Rather than re-share project updates which you can see on my blog and Instagram I thought I’d post a few street photographs that I’ve been taking as we move within and between places.
All the photos I’m sharing are taken withProCamera 3.8.1 on an iPhone 5. While I’m also using a Canon DSLR, the majority (70-80%) of photos I’ve been taking are with the iPhone and ProCamera. This is because I know the combination so well and am able to find the perfect exposure much quicker than I can on the DSLR. I also find that people are much less intimidated by the phone and are less likely to strike a pose when I’m trying to take candid portraits.
As for my ProCamera settings I’m using Expert Mode for all of my shots and manually setting my focus and exposure points. I use Full Screen Trigger when shooting and Anti-Shake in low-light to get a little extra sharpness in the photos.
So, here are the photos from the first two days. None of them have any post-processing. They are as shot from the app.
Let me know which photo you like the most (or least) in the comments below.
